"The righteous shall live by faith." (Romans 1:17)
HOME > About Us > INTRODUCTION
In walking this year’s forty day path before Easter, the EAPCA wishes to exhort its member churches to consider the great sacrifice made by our Lord Jesus Christ, who lived “a life of love…and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Eph. 5:2, NIV)
Through such meditation, we pray that you might come to a fuller realization of the saving grace given to us through Christ’s sacrificial life, and that with that grace you would be led to take up your own cross in the unique calling that God has placed on each of our lives.
While giving up a luxury or a habit for Lent is good discipline for the body, we hope that you wouldn’t use that practice as a replacement for striving towards offering your entire life as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. (Rom. 12:1, NIV) And as you endeavor to suffer together with our Lord, we pray that God’s comfort may rest upon you, and that with that comfort, you may comfort others. We look forward to sharing fellowship with you again at our regional Easter gatherings.
